Miami! I’ve got two new paintings at CONTEXT Art Fair which opens today, somehow. This first one I’m showing with my old pals at Harman Projects. If you’re down in Miami for the art fairs this week, keep your eye peeled for it. Sadly I couldn’t make it down there in person this year, as I’m in my studio working on some new stuff. But I’ll be thinking of you all having fun and cavorting and whatnot. Take some pics for me! (just keep it SFW 😬).
I might try and spruce this old Tumblr page up a bit. Maybe change the name to my Twitter handle for consistency. Maybe the avatar and header too. We’ll see how this goes (hopefully I can find my Twitter folks on here).
Yeah, it’s getting real sad here whenever I check out Tumblr. I’m pretty sure 90-95% of the accounts I follow are no longer active. Hell, the only reason I look even remotely active is because my instagram is linked here.
But yeah, check out the links above, cuz I can’t say I’ll be posting and resharing stuff here often.
So, the mass exodus of Tumblr might actually be changing since Twitter’s new CEO is trying to speed run a website’s lifecycle. Dunno if that means people might be coming back here, but if so, I’ll be ready. If not, you know where to find me.
Looks like some tomfoolery going on with @charmin here. These products are marketed as being the exact same, but the newer one is noticeably smaller. Most of the ones at the store were the ones on the left, whereas there was only one of the one on the right, but the package was damaged, so that’s probably why no one bought it. If you look at the bottom of the packaging, the only real difference is the amount (318 ft2 for the left one and 322 ft2 for the right). Otherwise, these are effectively sold as the same product at the same price.
TLDR, this is classic #shrinkflation where a company is trying to pass off something as the same as before at the same price, but it’s smaller (that’s why Cadberry creme eggs have seemed smaller and smaller every year too).
